We are all extremely annoyed by the pandemic, but there is no way around dealing with the matter responsibly. One thing is clear: Attending the Congress in times of a pandemic means an infection risk that everyone can weigh up individually.
The following rules apply to the World Congress 2022:
- Proof of a 2G certificate (fully vaccinated or recovered) at the entrance.
- Participants must present a one-time negative official test taken prior to their arrival at the entrance.
Rapid test concepts can only offer limited protection against infection. With this concept, the World Congress is trying to establish a minimum level of safety – weighing up the risks against a relaxed atmosphere. With the obligatory test before arrival, the congress wants to ensure that the number of infectious people on the grounds is lower.
The congress generally checks all participants for 2G because, according to the current ordinance, different regulations apply to unvaccinated contact persons and, in the event of a positive test at the congress, these can otherwise only be traced with disproportionate effort.
For the days of the congress, there is the possibility to be tested daily in the test bus free of charge. Please feel free to take advantage of this offer, because with a higher test rate, infections can be minimised. Because this is a “citizen’s test”, the usual data for such a test will be collected. This data does not indicate that you have been tested at the congress, but looks like the data collected at an ordinary test centre. You are also welcome to bring your own antigen tests and test yourself.
There is no mask requirement at the congress, but a mask is still a very good idea where it is crowded. Certain areas at the congress have set themselves stricter rules. For example, for the participatory kitchen and for the bar: Please come to the shift tested if possible.
People who test positive should immediately put on an FFP2 mask and report to the medical tent for further information. Further measures will be taken there.
